My brothers and sisters,
Thank you for supporting the Faith, Food, and Fellowship Sunday program! We ask that you be patient with us as we work to make the program better.
We want you to know that this is not a personal or temporary project, but a parish endeavor to build up community. We know that it has become harder for people to get to know one another as the parish becomes larger, and the busyness of life often leaves people tired by the end of the week, so many are looking forward just to spend time with the family on Sunday. Nevertheless, we are a faith family here at Immaculate Conception, and we want to create opportunities so all of us can have a chance to meet and get to know one another outside of Mass.
Even though there are different ministries using the program to do fundraising, that is not the main point. We want to encourage and promote community! We do not have to let the size of the parish hold us back from getting to know our brothers and sisters in a personal way. Therefore, let us all try our best to make some extra efforts to utilize the Fellowship Sunday program and get to know each other in a personal way, for we are all ONE BODY OF CHRIST.
Sincerely in Christ,
Fr. Khoi V. Tran - See more at: http://www.iccdenton.org/index.cfm?active=1#sthash.xN0b54uW.dpuf
