Think about your friends for a minute. When you get together, is there someone who always makes you laugh? Is there a great cook? A good conversationalist? Now imagine that one of these people were missing. The whole "group dynamic" would change, wouldn't it?
The Body of Christ is the same way. St. Paul continually reminds his listeners that every baptized person has a special role to play in the local Christian community. And what was true in Ephesus and Rome is also true in Denton, TX. Your talent is important to our "community dynamic."
There are over 70 different ministries at Immaculate Conception, ranging from Bible studies and retreats to Life Teen and the Fall Festival. There is a parish ministry where your time & talents will make a difference! And just as importantly, you should be benefiting from the gifts and talents of other people in the parish.
